Data Shepherds at work
Reasons for introducing the concept of data shepherds and its definition can be found in Papadiamantis et al., 2020.
Bringing in a data shepherd supporting data curation To get their data onto the NanoCommons KB, the NanoFASE project asked for help to establish a data management workflow and to familiarise the partners with the processes and corresponding data formats and curation tools.
Integrating a data shepherd at the start of the project Inspired by the publication of the concept and the benefits seen in the NanoFASE demonstration case, the ASINA project assigned the task of creating a pragmatic approach of initiating, designing and implementing the Data Management Plan (DMP) and the data FAIRification process to an internal data shepherd.
